Apparently this line of coffee makers is one of the very few lines rated “perfect” by the SCAA (Specialty Coffee Association of America), due to the ideal (HOT) temperature of the water, which extracts the most ideal flavor from coffee. I’m a bit of a coffee geek, so I’d love to brew my fancy-pants organic java in the very best kind of pot.

Yes, I saw a 4-6 weeks wait on the graphite model at Boyd’s, and I can be patient. To be honest, I’m not in LOVE with the design of these, so I’m willing to wait for the graphite one, which I think is the better looking of the two.
I can vouch for the Capresso. I’ve had Capresso Machines for going on ten years, and the only complaint I have is the first one I had broke after about 5 years.
I currently have the MT500, and the coffee it produces is amazingly good.
That said, it doesn’t quell my longing for a Technivorm. But truly, I’m happy enough with my coffee that I can’t justify the expense. Now only if this Capresso machine would die… mwaahahahahhaa
Well, all I can say is that if I do make the investment, this thing had better be brewing away in the background of every candid photograph taken of me for the next 25 years. I have higher expectations of this thing than the world does of our new president!
