Me? Not to well. I’ve got robbed again. You see a while ago I had a herbie who had eaten over 3 million kilos of food. Way more then the nearest competitor but was never recognized as a top creature. And it’s happened again.
Georgia_SDMB_V, my oldest herbie at 1.76 years, is 9.07 ms. They gave the top creature prize to LucilitaIIIIIIII who is only 8.97ms on her page, yet they list her as 9.02ms on the top creatures page. Grrrrrrrrrrr. Please make some carnivores and kill her!
Sigh, I hope your creatures are prospering though. Sigh.
I learned not to waste my time with herbivores. Make carnivores, give 'em the round, blue body (represented highly in the top creature lists), and they have a fighting chance.
Mine have been rogering lots of other creatures with doper names. They have good taste!
Hey, I forgot all about mine! I just check up on Horseflesh-SDMB and it’s made 2 kills and sired a child! With another Doper (ping-sdmb)! Child’s name is HorsefleshI-SDMB. Unfortunately I’ve changed email accounts since I started them up and there doesn’t seem to be an option to change what email account notices are sent to.
Hmmm. Did some more poking around in the event log. Apparently I gave birth to little HorsefleshI-SDMB. I did get another Technocreature pregnant but that one died at birth (RIP StalkBoy). A shame as it was a spitting image of my original. The last several events listed makes it seem like Horseflesh Sr. has an uncontrollable libido (not too far off the mark IRL).
Mmm, well I just started up my creatures not that long ago (less than a week) :

And Fred’s already preggers, and DeadMeat seems to be an escape artist: it’s been hunted by five carnivores, caught by three, and escaped from those three in short order. Hopefully DeadMeat will spawn lots of little DeadMeat’s all over the place!
PitSlut05 is my most successful carnie, and has broken the ‘9-kill curse’, wherein my carnies will kill 9 times, and get taken out by the next herbie, no matter how small… Of course, PitSlut05 has been muncing on babies, but what teh hey, he’s still makin’ it.
Grazer04 is my leading Herbie, and is fat n’ happy, though not yet a recordbreaker.
Their top creatures page is kind of a lie. They just randomly pick a creature who is kind of high, and post it up I think. I have a Carnie http://194.80.29.14/cgi-bin/info.exe?id=2436958 who is far ahead of the ones on the top page, and I’m sure there are many more successful than mine out there.
Some of you may recall I had hopes for my herbie Furro_SDMB to make a run at biggest creature. It was right on a curve to make it, but the damn thing died of old age at only 1.13 years old, which is not that old from what I’ve seen.
It made it to 7.65 MS. It’s children that lived are small and unpromising, although it’s oldest has 8 children of its own now. So the technogenes live on…
Negativland_SDMB, a carnie, was doing pretty well until it was killed trying to take down a 4.67 MS herbie. Only one of its five children is still alive, though not for much longer if it keeps trying to eat things 16 times its size…
The only going concern I have right now is Reaper_SDMB, a vicious customer with 12 kills to his name. His three children haven’t been so lucky though—they’re all dead.
(He also had sex with an Osiris_SDMB_I. There’s a nasty character!)
It’s been a long time since I checked in with any of my Technocritters. The very first creature I made was named More and lived its life a long, long time ago by Technosphere standards (Born 5.51, Died 5.95). Incredibly, there is still one descendant left alive today that still bears the name of its ancestor, More IIIIII, born on 10.31. It hasn’t produced any children, but it is currently pregnant. I’ll check in to see if the amazing More line continues.
A few months ago, after someone suggested using the appendix “SDMB” on the names of our Technocreatures, I made a huge batch of them. Sadly, only two remain of that last batch… Garp_SDMB is currently listed as Ancient, and probably won’t last much longer. Helium_SDMB is another Ancient carnivore that won’t be much longer for this world.
