And look at all the flack I get in GD for saying prayer doesn’t work.

ETA: to be fair, Cruz’s views on slavery are probably compatible with Washington’s.

Well, if “a new George Washington” is someone to plunge a great empire into internal war, cut off a sizeable chunk of its territory, and send a third of the population of that chunk into exile, all for the sake of his own speculative investments, yeah, Ted Cruz probably could be that guy. The question is, is there a corollary to the Kingdom of France to back him?
