I’m surprised there’s no thread about Larry Johnson’s book on Alcor Life Extension Foundation and the mistreatment of Ted Williams’ head. It’s been all over the news here, and was on Nightline last night.
An example:
Although this and other bits I’ve heard focus on the use of a monkey wrench to dislodge the frozen head from a tuna can, most of the Nightline bit seemed to express disgust that they were Actually Beheading Corpses, as if that’s not pretty much the SOP at Alcor, and not exactly something hidden. More alarming, though, is that Johnson alleges Alcor employees may have hastened the death of one client. According to some of his tapes, they did it to avoid heavy traffic. Makes me wonder is Johnson got whooshed.
