"Teemings" Issue #4 : Submissions Wanted Now!

Hey! What the hell happened to Issue #3 ??

Well, we’re currently working on it. But submissions are a little scarce for Issue #4. We have a ton of poetry and may end up doing an all poetry issue somewhere down the road, but are a little light on the real meat and potatoes stuff. So if you have things that you’ve held up on sending in, it’s never too early to get them in.

And here’s a little challenge. Issue #4 will be coming out the first of April. Therefore, that issue will be the April Fools Issue. We don’t have definite plans for it (well, maybe one little surprise) but you can use “April Fools” as a theme for whatever you might want to put together.

Hey Euty! I emailed you about a (ahem) minor little problem I was having, regarding Teemings. Did you get it?

remind me, where?

April? Is that going to be enough time for theuglytruth to craft one of his exquisite whines? Because, you know, you can’t sell a whine before its time.

Once again, send any submission to both me (Eutychus55@aol.com) AND David (davidbloomberg@hotmail.com)

Cristi … check your mail.

I might throw together a detective story over the Xmas break from school. Want it?

I never guaruntee that we’ll publish everything that we receive [sub]** cough ugly truth **[/sub] but yes, send it on in and we’ll be happy to consider it!

I submitted something in the past (maybe a month ago). Does that mean it is in the issue #3 area, or should I resubmit for issue #4?

Your piece is currently slated for Issue #3. I haven’t gotten around to notifying everyone yet, so stay tuned.

Not that it applies to this issue, but FWIW we do keep submissions on file for future issue. Our current policy is to publish one piece per author per issue, so if you submitted two or three pieces we should still have your other pieces on file.

I wasn’t aware you had too much poetry when I submitted my doggerel. I do write other stuff. Would you rather have an ironic short story, a humorous short story (mostly parody), or neither?

Both.

Let me reiterate : it’s never too early to send stuff in. In fact the earlier the better since that gives David the extra time to proofread and me the extra time to get it reworked and posted. Multiple submission are accepted, although as I said earlier, we’ll only use one per author per issue and hold then others aside for future issues.

Hell, if anyone has Holiday stuff that they’re writing now, go ahead and get it in for next Christmas. It’s not unheard of for regular print magazines to hold things for years before publishing. We won’t get quite THAT extreme, but we’d like to be able to look a little further down the road than we do now.

Also, David and I had talked privately that neither of us are really up to snuff on poetry. If there are any experts in that field out there (who might be able to tell us what’s good or bad) drop us a line.
