Earliest registeration dates for the SDMB as we know it are from March of 1999, I believe. Before that were the AOL boards, some of which are chronicled in earlier SD books.
Ah. I always thought that it was like, decades old… around since the internet started. Oh well. Silly me.

It’s pretty cool to me that people thnk of me as older than I am, as people often mistake me on the phone for my father or an older man, from my voice and from my words.
People think I’m my mom when I answer the phone.

I’ll be 18 and a half exactly in 9 days. I just finished my second semester of college (University of Maryland College Park–Go Terps!), and I’m taking a summer class and trying (unsuccessfully) to find some work. I started posting (lessee) when I was 16.
I’m not surprised at most of these people being teens. Only Mirror Image egamI rorriM and Angel of the Lord. Blalron would probably surprise me if it weren’t for the Great Prom Saga[sup]TM[/sup].
Not an aspiring writer, but I am an aspiring engineer.
