When I first joined, way back in the early 2000s, I was a teenager, and there were a lot of other teens on the board, but of course that’s no longer true. Do many people under 25 find this place anymore?
We had a teenager join a few months ago. She stuck around for a few days but I haven’t seen her posts since, and forgot her name.
I think there’s a young whippersnapper of less than 40 in the boards, but I don’t remember their name.
I’m 48 and I think I’m in the youngest 10%.
If the OP wanted an accurate survey of collective Doper ages, the title is tailor made to prevent that by emphasising the young side. Thereby causing most older Dopers not to read the thread.
OTOH, if they’re just interested in the younguns, the poll should have had maybe 50+ as the highest bucket, and more granular buckets from teen through 49.
Either makes for a good question and a good poll. But IMO the OP body & OP title don’t seem to agree on which question they’re really trying to ask.
All our polls are statistically suspect due to self-selection effects. But this one is gonna be way off.

What I initially wanted to know is if any young people are actually here, then I learned that this place has a polling function now and belatedly decided to give anyone a chance to join in, because that would be a little more interesting than seeing a bunch of 0% answers.
There have been teens here. WAY back in the day there was SanibelMan, who self-identified as being 16 (I think) when he joined the boards. We also had racinchikki, who I believe said she was 14 once. Both of those posters were posting at least 15-20 years ago, so they’re adults now.
Then there was a legendary thread in which a moderator ( @Giraffe ) made a flirty come-on to someone asking about pancake syrup (I think), and the poster responded that she was 13, and the moderator said he was going to take the rest of the day off to clorox his brain.
@kaylasdad99 also spoke of having a teen daughter (she’d be an adult now too) but I don’t know if she ever posted.
In October 2025 @melaniethewitch asked about some issues going on in her high school. Don’t know if she’s still around.
Seems like @Ryan_Liam was a yute.
I’ve tried to get my 39 year old son on here. I think it wouldn’t work out so well he’s way more progressive than 90 percent of the people here. I’m not as progressive as he is, but I think I’m more than most of y’all.
I’m far from the youngest at 67, but I’m not the oldest either. Does that make me middle aged now. 
I have negative thoughts, how about that?

Yeah, I was a teenager on here in those days too. Lots of familiar names you mentioned, besides the current teen. Interesting that she somehow landed here and decided to stay for awhile. Message boards are a bit of a relic in the 2020s.
I’m racking my brain over another teen that was here. I think he was Chinese, and posted in Great Debates a lot. Username possibly beginning with C?
Max_S at one point indicated he was 25, sometime in 2024.
I’ve always felt like one of the younger people here, but based on the responses to this thread I’m clearly not the youngest. In fact I’m in the largest group of poll respondents (I’m 46).
Probably Curtis Lemay. That was quite awhile ago though, so he’s probably not still young.
