I’m watching the ‘wake’ of BBC TV Centre, 12 years of my life spent their in Post-Production.
A couple of questions, towhit did anyone else work there and has anyone else worked in large-scale TV companies?
As an aside I’ll leave a few memories of the centre:
Emergency fire lights set so low in the ceiling that you had too time your pace and cadence to avoid concussion.
The Dalai Llama’s party, waiting for a taxi in reception, hearing a call for ‘Taxi for the Llama’
Working for 50 hours+ non-stop on a current affairs programme and telling my head of department to F*** off after he’d asked me if I’d like overtime.
Anyway does anyone have any more relevant memories?
