Tell me about 4-ho-dipt

What can anyone tell me about4-ho-dipt?
What exactly are it’s effects? Has anyone ever tried it?
Is it really legal?

I’ve seen it advertised on a couple sites. A lot of this “drug alternative” stuff is garbage, especially the marijuana alternatives. But this sounds like an actual chemical not a plant. or am I incorrect?

So, has the GQ forum changed into the Talk to Yourself forum now?
Awww! I guess I’ve gone and ruined it now, haven’t I?

Yes, you have.
But this fixes it.

Well, if the site says all these psychodelic drugs are legal, then they must be OK.

What?! Are you crazy or just plain high? Just because some trippy web site says some designer drug is safe and legal doesn’t make it so.

Besides, I don’t think looking for a high is acceptable behavior on this board. You should be banned, moriah.

Peace.

Well, if you’re really interested in data, check out the Lycaeum at http://www.lycaeum.org/ , or erowid at http://www.erowid.org/psychoactives/psychoactives.shtml. There you should be able to find too much information about too many things!

:eek::mad:
Where did I say anything about myself getting high?
I asked a legit question about something I found on the web.
I was curious about what exactly it was and what it did!
And if it is legal, talking about the effects of it is no more unacceptable than talking about the effects of alcohol.
Who gives you the authority to decide what’s get’s discussed and who get’s banned?

If this thread is not appropriate, the Mods will close it and advise me, and I will obey their orders!

Did you notice who said that moriah should be banned?

D’OH!!! :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :wally :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack:
How’s about a big DUH for me?

Ok, 4-ho-dipt and 5-meo-dmt (from your other post) are “Research Chemicals”. They were discussed in TIHKAL (Tryptamines I Have Known And Loved) by Alexander Shulgin. (a great book. Also PIHKAL Phenethylamines I Have Known And Loved). They do have psychoactive effects and to my knowledge have not yet been scheduled. People have been arrested for selling them for human consumption, and for being in possesion of them for human consumption, however.

I suggest you reed this paper on research chems. These chemicals are similar to how LSD was when it was first discovered, in that nobody knows if or how much they will cause brain damage or death etc.

An excerpt from TIHKAL regarding 4-ho-dipt:

Take at your own risk.

Shit, one very important thing I forgot to mention, is that the 1986 Analogue Act makes it easy to prosecute as yet unscheduled drugs. People have been booked for selling unscheduled research chems under the Analogue Act, when the substance in question was not a true chemical analogue of any scheduled drugs. It is enough that the effects are similar.
