Tell me about (auto) window tinting

Due to the extra bright headlights, distracting blue shades of lights, people who use their fog lights when it is not foggy, and people who use still use their brights when there are cars infront of them, I have decided that I have to get my windows tinted.

This prompts several issues and I am hoping for suggestions:

1 Do it myself or get it done professionally?

2 Besides differing shades, what are the options?

3 Does it interfere with in-window antenna’s?

4 How will a autodimming mirror react to a darkened rear window? I assume it wouldn’t dim as much, but it is physically different then the autodimming mirror on vechical which came with factory tinted windows (yes it was a option, yes I am kicking myself for not getting that option)?

5 Cost of suggestions?

Before you do anything, check your local laws. There may be a limit on how dark you can tint.

I would get a professional. I doubt it would interfere with in-window antennas. As for options, I’ve seend tinting in a variety of colors, so it’s up to your own personal tastes.

New tints are non-metallic based and aren’t supposed to interfere with your antenna. Still, i’d get it professionally done, and i’d ask them if it will interfere.

Your auto dimmers don’t dim out those annoying headlights?

It does, though there is a brief delay, it is the light entering the rear window that illuminates the roof and inside that I want to block out.
