Tell me about your cigarettes.

I kind of feel like a wuss here…Virginia Slim ultra light menthol 120s…the ultimate in sissy girl cigs. When I went back to smoking a couple of years ago, they were one of the few that were palatable.

The thing I like most about them is that they don’t (usually) give me that burning brush flavor. I’ve tried a lot of other brands over the years, Salem lights, Alpine lights, Carlton menthols, B&H light menthols, and various Kools. One of the ones that I really liked, they only made for about a year back in the late 70s/early 80s…Brights…they had a really great peppermint taste.

The menthol flavor is about the only thing I do like about the taste of a cigarette. Once in a while, I’ll bum a Dunhill or Players off someone, but otherwise, make my pack a green one.

The best smoke of the day is in the evening, on the deck (I don’t smoke indoors), talking on the phone. Usually, my evening adult beverage is at my side and it’s altogether relaxing.

The only premium brands I go for intentionally are Dunhills. They’re a smooth enough smoke that I don’t have to have menthol.

As long as the buzz is not so strong that it makes me dizzy I´ll give it a try.

Thanks for the info!

Ok, I am really not one to get all tobacco nazi, but I strongly recommend staying away from dip. It is insanely addictive (moreso than cigarettes) and, all kinds of bad. IF you must place tobacco in your lip get some real snuss from Sweeden. The crap camel is selling right now is just that, crap.

You may also want to try some dry snuff (not like dip which is frequently called moist snuff.) This is sniffed into your nose. You would probably have to mail order it though.

But if you really want to get a nice smoke, go for a cigar. If you think you have the patience to learn how to smoke it right, a pipe. But dip is…dip is like cigarettes. Almost everyone I know who uses it is trying very hard to quit. Most of them can’t.

They sell it at the Walgreens by my house. How someone could get hooked on what feels like a combonation of chili powder, dirt, and black pepper snorked up the nostril and allowed to drain down the back of your throat is beyond me. On plenty of occaisons I’ll use just about any form of tobacco, but once was enough for me on that stuff.

I can’t bring myself to try dry snuff. I am a member of a pipe smokers message board though, and there are some fans of the stuff. They say that most people who have a problem with dry stuff are sniffing it too hard. The accepted description of proper technique is “like you are smelling a flower.” But one person said that they way that worked best for her was fill up her lungs, then sniff. This way you couldn’t get too much of an inhale.

Again, not for me, but every now and then you pick up some knowledge.

Well, the buzz can be pretty good, expect to get dizzy. As mentioned, the stuff is super, super addictive. I was instantly hooked. Instantly. Also, don’t swallow your spit or you’ll likely hurl. Just sayin.
