Yeah that’s Paul (the fellow next to him is Howard). I’ve juggled with both of them, and they’d both probably recognize my face but probably not remember my name. They are the two original founders, but Howard is no longer with the FKBs as of last year. That leaves Paul, Mark, Rod, and some new Australian guy as the current lineup. When we saw them last summer Mark was rather irritated that the new guy both dropped a lot during the juggling and messed up during the musical numbers. He said he was about to leave the stage at one point. Heh. It was their first performance of the show, though, and directly after they were driving to NH to Mark’s summer place to rehearse before going on a tour overseas. They did a benefit show for the library up there at the lake, and my mom and son got to see it because they happened to be there at the time. Mark remembered Dominic, and it turns out that the summer camp that Dominic has gone to the last several summers in NH is the same one Mark went to when he was a kid.
By the way, that PBS showing was my first exposure to them as well. I was really excited when I got to meet them at the International Jugglers’ Association Festival in 2004*, and became friends with Rod and Mark (that’s when we found out we vacationed at the same small lake in NH). I have that show on DVD (got it on ebay from someone who made a DVD from their VHS copy when it aired. It has never been released, that I know of.)
*also where I met my boyfriend. We’ve been together ever since.
