Also, before I was on the pill I’d have a blood or menstruation dream the night before my period started. Handy!
I have had this one dream over and over. I am in a river, trying to get to the bank, because there are snakes in the water. (I am not a good swimmer.), anyway, I get to the bank and can almost touch it when I realize the bank is a mass of slithering snakes.
My husband told me I was thrashing around in bed one night and yelled, “Bees!!”
The scariest one is that I am in a hospital room and it is dark, but I can see the shadow of someone (evil) coming up the hall, knowing he is coming to my room. I try to scream but can’t make a sound, and I try to run, but I can’t even move. I always awaken from that dream in a cold sweat.
That dream. Eugh. I feel your pain.
I have that one from time to time- I’ve been back in high school, college, and grad school in variants of that one. I always wake up from it wondering whether the dream or my normal life is real. Every time, I contemplate asking my mom for my framed high school, college, and grad school diplomas, so I can put them up in my room and remind myself that I did in fact graduate…
Richard Linklater made a great movie based around the premise of this type of dream: Waking Life
It is a weird week if I don’t have at least one dream with me being back in school. I am also constantly dreaming I am a Nazi in WW2.
My third most popular is my gf annoying me in some way and I always wake up as I’m lashing out at my wall, pillow etc. Thankfully she hasn’t been in the bed next to me whilst I’ve had one of these.
