So her honesty ratings are based on a Republican smear campaign that is somehow more effective than smear campaigns against other candidates because? Randomness?
It can be more effective as it’s more concentrated. She’s also better known. If you are asked to rate the honesty of a Politico you know nothing about , you hardly rate him/her a 1.
And it’s more concentrated becuase it’s a target rich environment. Did the Republicans make the Clinton Foundation not report some of its donations? Did they make her use a private email account and then delete half the emails?
Sigh, we’re getting off track here. Sanders is an honest guy. Clinton is just not. I won’t try to tackle the claim that she’s as honest as an average politician, but she’s easily the most dishonest in the Democratic field.
On WHAT are you basing this? Nothing I have read even remotely suggests that Biden is serious about even sticking his foot in the water, let alone diving into the nomination pool. Warren has gone on record firmly stating that she is not running.
Al Gore??? I’LL probably run for President before Al Gore does again.
In Bernie continues to get traction (it definitely helps that he’s speaking to sell-out crowds) the Dems will take notice and alter their stance accordingly. They may be stubborn, but they’re not going to argue with the weather.
After all, they’re not the Republicans.
as far as
Which was not illegal, and if hadnt been Hillary no one would have known or cared.
So, neither was a serious or egregious issue, and both blown entirely out of proportion by the GOP hate machine.
Think for a second about why the field is so small. Because Clinton is unbeatable right? Until she isn’t, at which point the field won’t be small anymore. I think that if O’Malley was the one taking her down the DNC would just get behind O’Malley. But they are not going to get behind McGovern 2.0 unless it’s too late to do anything else.
And I don’t think many of you must believe some of the stuff you are saying about Clinton. If Clinton is just being smeared, then doesn’t that mean that Sanders’ support is based primarily on Republican lies? And if so, isn’t Sanders helping the Republicans by running, and thus Democrats should not support him?
No.
What is it based on? Why do Sanders’ fans prefer him to Clinton?
People prefer him to her. I certainly do.
Here’s one reason he might not get elected – poor communications.
I just got an email from their campaign inviting me to one of their first national organizing meetings – more than 3000 across the country or so they claim. There was a map with all the red dots, but from what I can see, there are no addresses attached to the dots, and no meeting times. They requested an RSVP to the meeting I plan to attend, but there was no way to submit one.
Sanders is more left wing, more liberal. He was wild ideas which sound great. Free Tuition! Lower Taxes for You, higher taxes for Them! Getting Big Money Out of Politics!*
*Which requires the Democracy Is for People constitutional amendment to overturn the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision. which aint gonna happen, so that’s pie in the sky.
Mind you, some of these ideas, if brought more mainstream, may be great. The DISCLOSE Act redux would be a hard sell, but not impossible. Ect.
The other half is that voters are yearning for straight talk. They are tired of the same old political BS.
Because they agree with his views more and think he would be a better president.
I have a hard time envisioning a viable Republican candidate who is not scary. I think there might be two ot three of them out of the, what, two dozen, but no one gives them any kind of a chance. Even nominating David Koch straight up would be less scary than most of the declared murder of Republican candidates we have actually heard of.
my heartfelt apologies to any corvids I might have offended with my remarks
They still vote for Republicans, dont they? :dubious:
There are not enough college towns in the US to elect him. That is why.
Hmmm. For me the process was simple and straightforward.
Try this link.
Thanks. That’s the kind of link I expected to find, but didn’t.
OK, umm, someone has titled their event “Begin the Bern”. This could get bad.
