Tell me I am not alone...

Flanker, then gained a few pounds, lost a bit of speed, and moved to lock. Then I gained a few pounds, lost a bit of speed, and moved to tighthead.

My shoulders feel a bit tight this morning, so it seems to have worked. I think I found myself a new workout routine.

I have nothing to add to this thread except that I love the OP’s user name.

Last night ABC had a Barbara Walter’s special on about living to 150. One segment discussed reducing calorie intake to improve your health and live longer. When the segment ended I went into the kitchen, made a Fluffernuttersandwich and a glass of chocolate milk and then sat down to watch the rest of the show.

Damn you! I’m trying to stick to a low carb diet and there’s a litre of this in the freezer that I had managed to erase from my mind uintil now.

I’m another Food Channel watcher when I exercise. If what’s on there does not appeal, then I flip to cheap home renovation shows (something which I would not otherwise watch, strangely enough).

Mmmm…Fluffernutter. I haven’t had one of those since leaving New England.

Oh, and as to the topic; I used to smoke at my soccer games, back before my knees fell apart. Now I smoke while riding my bike

At my previous job, we used to go to a pizza buffet restaurant for lunch on a semi-regular basis. They always had fitness shows on the TV in there - so we’d be stuffing our faces with pizza while watching Cory Everson lift weights and tell us how much better exercise makes you feel. :stuck_out_tongue:

I eat Fish and Chips (ie big lumps of grease) and always go for Diet Coke with it, cos you know, it’s healthier.

Back in my old rugby days one of my buddies would run, really run, off the field at halftime for a cigarette. 40 minutes without was more than he could take and a 5 minute half wasn’t enough time for a fix.

I like to have a good workout during the day and eat a healthy dinner. Then, after a couple of beers, I break down have a wonderful peanut butter and pepper jelly sandwich. Mmmmmmm, I want one now. That tastes so good I have another. Then the next day I have to exercise and eat a healthy dinner to make up for it. Then …

For several years, there was a workout parlor in the same building next to a very busy Baskin-Robbins ice cream store. When the gym moved across town, the ice cream joint closed soon after.

See now, that’s real work, and I’ll bet you’re not counting it as part of your exercise regime.

Ha! Not alone at all. I got back from my 3-mile run and made a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch. With butter and fresh jalapenos (gotta get those veggie servings in every day). It was only a half sandwich and I did use wheat bread, so not so bad.

What??!

I just gotta say that I cannot imagine being 150!

I once saw a cartoon that showed an old man, with nobbly knees, poor eyesight, and in very frail condition. He was telling his doctor that he really wished the extra 20 years his healthy lifestyle has given him were added at the beginning of his life instead of at the end!

I’m eating Easter candy while reading this thread.

For extra diabetic goodness, you can use it to suck down a doughnut glaze milkshake.

Neither can I- years or pounds!
