I broke six bones before I was five years old (each leg twice and my right arm twice), but I’ve only broken a couple of toes since (and as an adult).

As a toddler, I (along with my family) lived in the oldest frame house in the United States. It’s the Wycoff House in Brooklyn, NY. It has since been restored and is a museum, but back then it was in bad repair and was behind an autobody shop.

I once had dinner with three friends and Wilt Chamberlin, I didn’t know he’d be there. This was at the Border Grill when it was still on Melrose Ave. in L.A. He picked up the tab.

I saw the Blues Brothers LIVE at a small bar in NYC in 1977 before they cut their first album. Later that night I sat on the back steps between shows and chatted with Dan Ackeroyd while he smoked a joint and talked about comedy, I was only 17 and lied about my age to get in.
