They’re billing me 8 weeks after I cancelled service with them. I’ve got the gateway in the closet waiting for the packing slip (which never seems to come, according to people I’ve spoken with).
The idea was, I get billed for a month. Which is great, except I never got the gateway to connect with their service, and eventually cancelled after leaving on for a solid week. Tech support was supposed to work on it, but no one ever seemed to know about my problem. It was only after pushing hard that they admitted they had no problem. So Mrs. Zero and I cancelled the service, without ever having gotten a connection.
Fast Forward to today. I got my bank statment, and lo and behold, there’s a charge from Telocity on there! Thus I storm off to the phones and demand satisfaction.
So, in the 30 minutes I’ve been working on this port off and on, I’ve finally gotten one good bit of news. Alex seems to have found all the info he needed, so he agreed I was misbilled and will send the refund.
One word of warning, tho. I’ve read reports on http://www.dslreports.com that Telocity is misbilling and overcharging some customers. Beware!
