Temp Internet files - quick question

Didn’t think this was worthy of being in GQ, so I stuck it here.

At the end of the day I usually clear out the temp internet file folders, to clear up space (and stop a casual looker at work examining my history).

But, at the moment a single (old) Straight Dope thread has made itself undeletable in the folder.

It is only a minor annoyance, but is there any reason why it would have done this, and is there a simple way to dislodge it so I can finally delete it?

Thanks for any ideas /comments.

I’m going to assume you’re using some form of Windows. If so, you might try this:

1.) Open the My Computer link on your desktop.

2.) Right click on your C drive and select Properties.

3.) There should be a little button there called Disk Cleanup. Click on that, making sure that you have selected it to delete temp internet files.

4.) Click OK and let it do it’s thing.

I like this little utility because it cleans up your internet files, recycle bin, and a few other things all at once. Try it and let me know if this works for you.
