Hello. I’m considering breaking my rule of “no writing” on my tattoos with my most recent set, but I’m salving my conscience by making them languages that 99% of the world’s population can’t actually understand.
I know that Gallifreyan is just an alphabet - there’s no real language behind it, so that’s going to be more of a stylistic set of choices than anything else. However, Quenya is an actual language (at least mostly) and especially tengwar script has modes established for the different languages being represented, and I’m enough of a perfectionist to want to get it right, even if I can’t manufacture it myself.
Does anyone write tengwar script, or are familiar enough with quenya to look at a set of statements and say whether they’re translatable or not? Or can you point me at someone who might?
Same with the Gallifreyan - despite being a straight translation to English, it’s still a complex script, and I’d like to have my attempts doublechecked if there are any interested parties who would like to look at them?

I don’t have an answer to your question, but I just wanted to say I love your choice of tattoos! I have two tattoos myself, one being JRR Tolkein’s initials and the other the Seal of Rassilon! 
The “Gallifreyan alphabets” out there are works from fans. True, there is an effort to base them on what’s in the show but the Gallifreyan on the show is frequently much more complex and not, it seems, alphabetic. Whether or not that matters is, of course, up to you.
Which might be why the seal of Rassilon and/or a Tardis seem to be popular Whovian choices for tattoos.
I actually like that it’s fan-created, tbh. I mean, if the show had bothered to hire a conlanger or linguist to create it as a full language, yay cool, but I like that someone was simply interested and took the time to make it work as a letter-substitution code that looks similar to what’s in the show.
Now that I’m back at an actual computer, thanks to Prof for the link - very handy, and I have a feeling that the venn diagram of people with elvish script tattoos and people with Dr Who tattoos are - if not a single circle, pretty darn overlapped.
Not the same, but I have two tattoos written in wingdings, one says WTF? and the other says Well, Damn It Anyways. I would have typed out what they look like, but this website doesn’t have a wingding font.
