Term limits for VP's?

Is there such a thing as term limits for Vice Presidents of the U.S.? Could you be VP after being President? Would Gore be able to pick Clinton as his VP? Just curious.

Wow, this question comes up a lot. If you search the archives, you can find a whole bunch of threads.

The general consensus has been that there is no limit per se on the number of terms a VICE PRESIDENT can serve.

Everything else you can find out be reading the older threads.

Over and over and over and over and over again.

Yes, Gore could have theoretically pick William Clinton as his vice presidential candidate. It is unlikely, though, that will ever happen: a vp and pres switching roles in a run for the office.
