Terry Prachett books

I have forced copies of Reaper Man and Good Omens (co-authored with Neil Gaiman) upon people. I have told folks how their lives have been Void and Without Meaning up til now, and only after they read these books will they know True Enlightenment.

I’m obnoxious about it, but everyone I’ve recommended these books to have thanked me afterwards.

I knew that my brother had found Ms. Right when his then-girlfriend rhapsodized about Pterry.

My sentiments, exactly. The problem is that I always force my copy on them and they never return it, so I have to go out and buy a new one. But hey, it’s for a good cause.

Oh, and one more thing:

Damn you for telling us (sob)…

Then-girlfriend? I hope that means they got married!

There’s a new one coming out in Oct? Didn’t Night Watch and Wee Free Men both just come out? What is he, a machine?

He puts out a book every six months now, on the dot. Once in…April, I think, and once in November.

Good Omens is great (so good I own three copies!), but my favorites of the Discworld series are probably Soul Music (my first Pratchett novel!), Hogfather, Small Gods, Lords and Ladies, and The Fifth Elephant. I don’t think I could possibly pick just one.

Night Watch. Vimes is also my favourite character.

Was fairly surprised to see that no-one’s mentioned The Amazing Maurice, I love that book.

I’m reading the books all out of order, as I find them in used bookstores, or as I can justify picking up one at B&N. My current favories are Guards! Guards! and Mort, but Witches Abroad has a special place in my heart for Greebo’s scenes.

Only in your opinion raisinbread. I have read ALL of Pterry’s books (most of them many times), and the only 2 I didn’t like were Strata and Dark Side of the Sun.
