Test Your Movie Knowledge: Part III!

Okay, Folks, time for pat three of Test Your Movie Knowledge.

The rules for this trivia game can be found at the two previous threads: Test your Movie Knowledge! Test Your Movie Knowledge: Part II

Let’s stick with an abbreviated numbering system, IL_1, etc.
Previous participants can bring in any hangers they want solved, or were particularly proud of.

IL_1 “Everything I needed to know about conducting an office meeting, I learned from Paul Newman”

IL_2 “Everything I needed to know about Meagan’s Law, I learned from John Turturro”

IL_3 " Everything I needed to know about bartending, I learned from Carrie-Ann Moss"

I gotta go to class, but I’ll be back in an hour or so.

TYMK 4 Ever!

Good morning, Ilsa!

I can’t guess any of yours right off, which implies IMDB searches.

But to get the ball rolling, I’ll post a few more.

Z_1 “Everything I needed to know about being alone, I learned from Charlton Heston.”

Z_2 “Everything I needed to know about draining spaghetti on a tennis racket, I learned from Jack Lemmon.”

Z_3 “Everything I needed to know about swapping murders, I learned from Robert Walker.”

Z_4 “Everything I needed to know about falling in love with dead people, I learned from Dana Andrews.”

Ilsa_Lund, you might want to check in at Thank your favorite thread-starter of the week! for a plug I posted there.

IL_3 Memento

IL_1 Hudsucker Proxy?

IL_2 Miller’s Crossing?

BTW, Ilsa, my wife found a perfect T-shirt for you. It has a portrait of the ancient Greek mathematician and surrounding it is “Here’s looking at … Euclid.”

A great series of threads!

Z_1: The Omega Man?
rjk_1: Everything I needed to know about trumpeting, I learned from Sam Jaffe.

Z_1 is correct, and welcome to you, rjk.

rjk_1 Gideon’s Trumpet?

Here’s a list of everybody who has participated so far in this series. I don’t know of any other thread (series actually) since I’ve been here that has seen as many replies in so short a time, and by as few Dopers as this:

Ilsa_Lund
Zeldar
SUPERKARLENE
Robot Arm
Tangent
Earl of Sandwich
Nanook
peritrochoid
Mr. Babbington
AvhHines
BuckleberryFerry
Jabba
rjk

Did I leave anyone out?

Z_3 would be “Strangers on a Train”

Z_2 I’m guessing as “The Odd Couple,” but I have a feeling it’s not, because Jack Lemmon played Felix Unger.
L4L-1 Everything I know about hunting humans for sport, I learned from Rutger Hauer.

Z_3 is right but Z_2 is not.

L4L_1 Surviving the Game?

Z_5 “Everything I needed to know about bowling, I learned from Jeff Bridges.”

Z_6 “Everything I needed to know about shooting bunnies from a motorcycle, I learned from Randall (Tex) Cobb.”

Z_7 “Everything I needed to know about building my own playmates, I learned from William Sanderson.” (Bonus if you name the character)

Z_8 “Everything I needed to know about poking corpses with needles to see if they’re really dead, I learned from James Coburn.”

Sorry, not Gideon’s Trumpet. I never even thought of that one.

I knew Z_3 just after my last post, but see I got beaten.
rjk_2: Everything I needed to know about photography, I learned from James Stewart.

rjk_3: Everything I needed to know about seismology, I learned from Finn Carter.

rjk_2 Rear Window

rjk_1 Gunga Din?

Surviving the Game it is…Rutger was pimped on an Oscar for that role.

Z_5 - The Big Lebowski

Z_6 - Raising Arizona

L4L-2 Everything I know about taking care of children I learned from Nicole Kidman.

L4L-3 Everything I know about exploding gum, I learned from Tom Cruise.

rjk_3 Tremors?

Z_5 an6 Right!

L4L_2 The Others

L4L_3 this can’t be Risky Business, but I’ll put it in for the image it makes

Zeldar got rjk_1 - 3.

Z_8 is Charade. (Good movie, too!)

Correct on IL_1 and 3, Zeldar.

Z_5 is the same as IL_2!

Z_8 is Charade!

L4L_2 The Hand that rocks the cradle?

Z_8 right, rjk (And a decent acting job for as few lines as he had. Remember the matches?)

L4L_3 M:I!
