This is an actual serious question, inspired by a question Omniscient asked in chat “if you had to have a testicle removed for some reason whould you have the doc install a fake one?”
So, after some more exchanges of chat, omni asked again “Do they have ball donor programs?”
And then I said I didnt know, but i asked: “Would you be making another guy’s sperm?”
Which lead me to this question: If a guy was given a testicular implant from another guy, would that testicle continue making sperm from its original donor? If not, then what?
Great way to kill my thread man weep, weep, sob sob.
Anyway, i do remember you saying something about genetics or something. Care to share what you were saying in chat with the rest of the class Mr. Eager Beaver? :D.
Made of plastic, they come in assorted sizes and weights and can be inserted into the scrotum to make things look normal. Aside from sperm, the testicles provide testosterone. Pills or injections can do this. A man without testicles can still have sex, for he will produce the seminal fluid used to store and carry sperm in. Without the testosterone, his urges will drop sharply. With the pills, he should behave somewhat normally.
The loss of one testicle will not do much to change a mans sexual urges and a fake ball inserted into the scrotum will make him look just fine.
a company was on the news a while back for making prosthetic testicles for dogs who’d been neutered, calling them “neuticles”, and their selling point was that their dog would feel more secure getting sniffed by another dog if he still had something hanging.
Isn’t it wonderful the myriad ways people find to make a living?
I know someone who lost both testicles to cancer, about 7 years apart. He was offered “replacements”, but figured the only people to see them would be his wife and his doctor, and they both knew the truth!
Nuticals, according to one No-Kill Animal Rescue place I know of, is mainly for the men.
They have the biggest problems with guys not wanting to get their male dogs neutered, because not only is the thought enough to make them cringe, but the empty sack on their huge dog makes them almost cry.
So, they now neuter the pooch, pop in big balls so something is swinging between his legs, and Poppa is happy.
Yeah, yeah. I do seriously recall being informed that the genetic material of the donor would eventually be replaced by that of the host. I mean it. [sub]Really. [/sub]
