I’m creating this thread in Links, a console browser for Linux. So far it’s working pretty well, and if it handles forms properly, then I’m sold–I’m giving up my GUI forever, to live in black, grey and white simplicity (well, pseudo-simplicity: console mode looks Fisher-Price on a 19" monitor, so I’m in vesa framebuffer mode, running the console at 1280x1024).

Dopers! Shed your GUI chains! Go console!

You know, there’s actually a mod for Quake that lets you run it in a terminal window, with ASCII graphics. The only reason I don’t have it myself is that I don’t have a computer adequate to play Quake in the first place.
