Texas Panhandle Dopers?

Are there any Dopers in the panhandle of Texas? I’ll be down in the micropolis of Clovis NM for the better part of 2 1/2 months. And I’ll have my own real truck with me! :eek:

I think Lubbock and Amarillo are only a few hours away, so if anyone’s up for a weekend luncheon or something, give me a holler. I’ll bring the beer.

Anyone? Anyone at all?

I mean, I’d be willing to visit the deepest parts of Lubbock, but only for twenty minutes. I’ll see if it’s changed since the '60s.

It hasn’t. The last time i was there, parts of it were still dry. Amirillo, tho, there’s a party town! :wink:
I’m in the OKC, but I work in the TX Panhadle frequently. I’ll be sure to inform of upcoming trips.

I’m closer to Amarillo than Lubbock, closer to OKC than Clovis.
