Hmmmmmmm…
Wow, you learn something new everyday. I didn’t know that the British spelled aluminum, aluminium. Was the extra i them or us. Probably us* since we have such a need to be “individual”
[sub]*By us I mean the USA[/sub]
I think the extra “i” is Brit. I noticed that they also have a diff spell for sulfur. They spell it “sulphur.” See http://www.webelements.com/webelements/elements/text/S/key.html?vo=1

It must be something to do with the way we pronounce it:
American: Al-oo-min-um - Aluminum
English: Al-yew-min-ey-um - Aluminium
Violet
Whenever I read your post I hear this strange noise in my ears.
Yeah, but how many schizophrenics are have access to this important web site?
Hey, justwannano, just put some aluminum in or over your ears!
Ahhh, but don’t you mean aluminium
I wish I had a dollar for every time I said that.
