Ha!
Touche, Vogue.
So do Juno’s, NetZero’s and all the other ones. Other good uses include: Skeet targets, travel mirrors, frisbees, range weapons, x-mas tree ornaments, putty knives(to scrape dried gobs of paint off the garage floor), etc…
You know those racks in coffee shops full of free postcards? They have started stuffing those AOL discs into them now.
Now that the scaffolding has come down, I’m thinking of making a suit of armor out of them for the Washington Monument.

I saved like 50 of them with the intention of making a wall mural. But then I got cable, and all creative intentions went out the window. (ps: Ben Stein is TOTALLY losing tonight’s show…)
DON PEDRO: Your silence most offends me, and to be merry best becomes you; for, out of question, you were born in a merry hour.
BEATRICE: No, sure, my lord, my mother cried; but then there was a star danced, and under that was I born. -Much Ado About Nothing, Act II, Sc: i
Fell sideways laughing at this, VV. I thought I was the only one who used them for coasters. Of COURSE the Waterford coasters get pulled out for guests (::choke: but in the meantime I refer to the AOL coasters as my Fart Deco collection.

microwave the things first (Not for very long!). You get a pretty light show, and a neat pattern on your coaster.
When micro waving CDs leave the kitchen window open. The smell is somewhat opressive. It only takes about 3 seconds.
Whoa, you mean you have missed out on the whole “AOL coasters” line of jokes that have been going around for the last…um… 6 years or so? FIrst it was AOL disks, then cds, but the coaster jokes are ooooold. Haven’t you seen the websites like “1001 uses for an AOL disk” and such? Coasters is usually first.

From an actual catalog: “Disco balls create an enchanting, dazzling effect of light shafts, adding movement and glamour to any occasion”

My dogs like them more than I do. The shiny faces reflect the sun all over the house and yard, giving them hours of pleasure. They are much cheaper than frisbees.
I know it’s totally stale…but the new little ones look so much like actual coasters, it’s almost as if they did it just to be nice! LOL!
Shine on, you crazy diamond!
I give them to my one year old to play with. He likes them since they’re shiny and can spend a decent period of time watching them glimmer and reflect.
My only worry is eventually teaching him the difference between a AOL CD and the music collection
“I guess one person can make a difference, although most of the time they probably shouldn’t.”
