Received the cookies today. And yes they were still in very good shape. As I was passing them out to my squad, a few soldiers were walking by and in your honor, I gave some cookies to the Army dogs.
Also received the western thread, which I will read tonight, while in my sleeping bag.

Nothing much to add except thought I would tell you that Semper Fi is the music that plays everytime my cellphone rings. Whenever I hear it I think about you guys and say a little prayer.

Oh my, I didn’t know about this thread until just about half an hour ago.
I just received a letter from WillSantini. He’s alive and well(if you can call being a Marine well 
) He thanked me again for the cookies and told me a little about himself IRL.
As for his location, he said “My unit is in Iraq, Fallujah, to be exact. And I must admit, this city isnt the happiest place on earth.”
I’ll be he’s left-handed, his handwriting looks just like that of my boss.
To ivylass and Jeff Olsen, he sends us thanks for the “Return to Anderson’s Gulch” thread, and says he hopes at some time to be able to personally participate in AGIII.
If any other Dopers want to add their well-wishes to this, I can print it off in a couple of days and send it over there. As a peacetime veteran myself, I still remember how much packages and letters from home meant.
