Finishing my third one now, beginning to loosen up a bit…ahhh.
Six percent alcohol by volume…hmm, so I’ve drank the equivalent of six light beers. Should be ready to play Battlefield 1942 here in a little bit.

I don’t like Hornsby. May I recommend a nice Woodchuck Amber, or Woodpecker?
Ace also makes good ciders, both apple and pear.
IMHO, Hornsby’s is at the lower end of the range of hard ciders. It is an Ernest & Julio Gallo product after all.
My favorite is Strongbow. I drank that when I was in London and enjoyed it the most out of all the ciders I’ve tried.
I’ve been unable to find it here in California until last month when I was in a pub in Monterey which had some.
Now that I know it exists in the States, I’m trying to track down a distributer.
But don’t take my word for it. I suggest researching each and every kind of hard cider you come across.
Hell, if you’ve got apple orchards nearby, find one that presses their own fresh cider. It’ll get hard in a day or two. Excellent with ginger snaps and pretzels.
Mmm. Hard Cider… I don’t get it very often, since I drink perhaps once every tenth blue moon that falls in a month that ends in ‘r’. But mix up 1 part hard cider to 1 part craneberry juice… yum!

I’ve tried a few different brands (though none mentioned here) and I like Hornsby’s the best. It’s not too sweet or too tart, at least the draft kind isn’t. Very smooth, can drink it like water if it’s ice cold.
Hornsby’s, Woodchuck, they both are awesome. Great drink.
