Thanks, GOP, for the reminder!

You have called four times this week, and every time you’ve blocked caller ID. And then you leave a helpful reminder that I might not be registered to vote correctly at this address.

Thanks! It’s good to know that I can fix that in time to vote against you! Here’s hoping your phone spam bites you in the pachydermical posterior.

They’ve been calling me, too! I was dumb enough to answer the phone one time. I told them that I would, of course, register to vote in my new town, and then I explained how much I’d enjoyed protesting the Republican National Convention in New York a couple years ago.

This reminds me of how I grilled a Conservative phone-spammer just before the last Canadian election… and then went to the all-candidates’ meeting, and submitted two questions. One question was picked, the one which rebuked the Conservative’s insistence that Stronger Policing and Sweeping The Criminals Off The Streets were the only things necessary to solve the problem of yough violence.

I had the GOP call me on election day of 2000–and ask me if I would consider Bush. I must say I had took advantage of the situation and told them in no uncertain terms that I would not.

Well, I felt alot better after the phone call…until the returns came in. <sigh>
They do seem relentless in their bush-beating (dam-no pun there).

Jeez, people, lighten up. If the Bush people weren’t making the calls, how would they know how high a setting to use in the voting machines?

Three more calls.

I just called the RNC and told them the OP. I refrained from the harpyshriek with which I greeted their last call, so I’m pretty proud of myself.
