Bob’s Burgers has great thanksgiving episodes
I’m watching one as we speak! Brooklynn 99 has moved to Peacock. I’m too cheap to pay for it, so I’ve switched my plans to Bob’s Burgers.
S2 E8 of The West Wing (“Shibboleth”) has two great Thanksgiving storylines: CJ has to select a turkey for a presidential pardon, and Charlie has to find the perfect carving knife.
Keep an eye out next week - I got a year of Peacock last Black Friday for like $12.
Facebook has a “hugging” emoji reaction, which this post deserves. That episode is so good - all three plot lines are so well done, I can transport my emotions directly to my memory of watching all 3 denouements of each storyline.

I recently started re-watching some West Wing — every episode of which I’ve already seen many, many times — and I started with the shooting storyline and the S1 finale. Usually I stop watching S2 after the Ainsley Hayes episodes, and skip to another storyline, but this time I kept going; I just re-watched “Shibboleth” last night (and “The Leadership Breakfast” is on as I type this).
The Over the River and Through the Woods episode of Bob Newhart is a classic.
Is that the one where they order “moo goo googoo” from the local Chinese place?

I’m posting from my phone so I can’t provide a link but YouTube has, from 1973, “B.C: The First Thanksgiving.” Haven’t seen it in decades (probably for good reasons), so I can’t vouch for it, but it was before the comic strip devolved into golf jokes and religious pablum, so maybe?
If I get a chance, I’ll watch it tomorrow, report back and possibly spare some of you wasting your time.
