That 70s anachronism?

I have only ever seen one episode of this show, and I thought it was pretty poorly presented. It was just too much 70’s stuff- as though they crammed every bit of nostalga they could find into one brief opening. In the 70’s we had different styles and mannerisms, but everywhere I looked on the show was something to remind the viewer 'Hey this is the 70’s". And it wasn’t like that- houses weren’t crammed with bean bags or lava lamps or people having conversations using ‘groovy’ as every second word.

But it was fun…

It was far out, man!

Hijack of my own thread:

Come to think of it, I have noticed more Krispy Kreme donut boxes in more sitcoms than any other product placement I can think of. I remember an episode of “Will & Grace” that based an entire ten minute bit around a Krispy Kreme donut box:

Will sets the box on the table (prominently displaying the logo in the process) of his apartment and leaves the room…

Grace wanders through the room and takes a donut (prominently displaying the logo in the process) and leaves the room…

Jack walks through the room and takes a donut (prominently displaying the logo in the process) and leaves the room…

Karen saunters through the room and takes a donut (prominently displaying the logo in the process) and leaves the room…

Karen’s maid wanders through the room and takes a donut (prominently displaying the logo in the process) and leaves the room…

Will returns to take a donut, opens the box (prominently displaying the logo in the process), and finds none left! He turns the box upside down (prominently you-know-what), and nothing’s there.

Cue an overly-hysterical laugh track.

“Skank” was around when I was in high school in the 1960s.

The Theresa Saldana case happened shortly after Raging Bull came out in 1980. I’m pretty sure that term was being used then, although I couldn’t find any cite on it.

And mostly everyone who was around in the 70’s would know ‘My Coo Ca Choo’ by Alvin Stardust.
