That '70s Show and college

I haven’t been watching That '70s Show much this year, but at the end of last season, Eric and Donna were planning to enter the University of Wisconsin—Madison. Why aren’t they there this season?

Because the writers are gutless and afraid to make any serious changes to the show.

In short, Eric decided to stay home so he could help his mom take care of Red after the heart attack. Donna decided at the last minute to stay with Eric. The show needs to go as Eric now looks like he’s 30.

Nah, it’s not their lack of guts. It’s their lack of money to build new sets after giving Kelso that enormous raise in pay.

What’s never really been explained is what the aforementioned Kelso does with his time.

The show is starting to strain. One more season, and they should let it die.

Kelso is training to become a police officer. They made jokes about it all last season.

The strain is showing, though. And I hate the new Laurie.

Yeah! What’s up with the new Laurie? I occasionally watch the show in syndication, and only recently saw a new episode of it, and I was all like, “Who the hell is THAT?”

If an actress leaves, you kill off her character or something. You don’t cast someone else in the part. Sheesh.

Daniel

They didn’t need to kill her or replace her. If the actress was unavailable then they just didn’t need to show her. Her character wasn’t around for most of the episodes anyway. She was usually at shool, living elsewhere, or not even mentioned.

Teh new Laurie is shite. I liked it when she talked back when teh other characters insulted her. This one just sits there. I’m rapidly tiring of American TV, this was the only current show I liked, and it’s dead.

At least the new Laurie is pretty. I never understood why somebody so ugly was considered a hottie, aside from the skank thing.
