That 70's song-- Name That Tune for old fogeys

Well, Kris Kristofferson indeed performed his composition, but (at least according to this page) referred to Bobby as “her” when he recorded the song. Then again, this site suggests Kris sang Janis Joplin’s version of the lyrics on at least one occasion. I still have my old vinyl album that containsGordon Lightfoot’s take on the tune, so I know that Gord refers to Bobby as female. When Melissa Etheridge decided to cover the song, there was some speculation as to whether she’d use masculine or feminine pronouns to refer to Bobby. As I recall, some of Melissa’s concert versions acknowledged Etheridge’s own lesbianism, while others featured Janis’s heterosexual interpretation of the lyrics.

Upon further review, I see Fish42 beat me to You Light Up My Life. I also believe someone got btw12, which is Always and Forever by Heatwave. ddg-11 is Billy Joel’s Stiletto.

>100). Should I fall out of love, my fire in the light/To chase a feather in the wind
