That Casino ""smell""

So, at once, it’s not a smell per se, but as I experience it through the olfactory nerves, I’m not sure what to call it. Snopes assures me it’s not Oxygen, and on reflection, oxygen anywhere near one of the remaining smoking strongholds seems to disprove the entire conspiracy on it’s face.

Yet, every casino I’ve ever been in, to some degree, ““smells”” the same.

A general, refreshed feel to the air, it doesn’t quite dominate the air, but you can confirm it at any moment.

What is going on here?

Vegas casinos don’t pump in oxygen, but they do pump armoatic scents. That’s not unique to casinos, either; they do it in Disney World.

Are you saying they pump aromatic scents into Afghanistan, too?

Private Joker, what’s that lovely scent you’re wearing? (NSFW-language).

Anyway, yeah, the last time I was in Vegas I stayed at Aria, and the cloying vanilla scent in the casino hits you pretty strong as you get off the elevator. It’s better than cigarette smoke, but still not as nice as scent-free air.

They have to do something to counteract the nicotine being constantly pumped in by the customers. One could hope for smoke-free casinos, but don’t hold your breath.

Terrible advice.

Even with no cigarettes, I imagine they’d need to do something about the smell of a crowd of people’s sweat in an enclosed area.

For what it’s worth, the Casinos in NJ are smoke free.

Good for New Jersey! In Michigan, casinos are the only exception to the smoking ban in public places. Every time I go to Soaring Eagle, I come home smelling like an ashtray. With a hint of garish air freshener.
