That cat ain't right

We’ve decided that it’s time to let Chippie go and the vet agrees. He’s sleeping more than usual, wobbles a bit and seems confused when he wakes.

His last trip to the vet will be on 9 July.

Give him a few happy weeks. I’m sorry.

This breaks my heart. May peace be with you.

I am so sorry. Spoil the heck out of him.

I would second this but I’m sure that you will.

I’m glad at least you got a few more good months.

RIP Chippie.

Grieve well @Skywatcher .

I’ll think of you

Do this if you can, and give him lots of love from all of us. :gift_heart: Hugs to you in this tough time and plenty of pets and scritches to Chippie.

Thanks, all.

On the plus side, he won’t be around to hassle the other kitties so the one on Prozac likely won’t need it anymore.

Yeah, it was about that time; he was starting to get more aggressive toward the other two. Day before his final trip, Chippie attacked the other male simply because he was lying down where Chippie wanted to lie down.

Even when it’s time, it’s hard.

Long-distance hugs your way; and pats to the rest of the crew.

I’m still sorry for the loss. Rest well, Chippie.

Sounds like we may be losing another kitty soon. Leukemia results should be in tomorrow.

Crossing fingers that it’s something treatable –

No leukemia or AIDS; next step is an abdominal ultrasound.

Poor kitty. Fingers crossed likewise.

Please let us know the results (when convenient for you, of course.)

His vet utilizes a mobile ultrasound machine, which will be in the office on Thursday.

It’s cancer. Not sure which but it’s probably in the kidney that hasn’t been functioning properly.

Oh no. Are you going to try treating it?

He’s being put on prednisone for now. The vet stressed that other treatment might extend his life but he and his sister are nine now so I don’t know how much longer he would have, anyway.
