a) those whose faces you recognize
b) those whose names you know
c) roles you have seen them do

Interesting list. I knew 10 by name and face, 8 just face.
I don’t think Walton Goggins (Justified) and Danny Trejo (way too many to remember) belong on there anymore.
I didn’t keep track of the actual #'s but I knew by face or name at last half of those, maybe more. It pays to watch a lot of cable dramas.
I recognised the British actors, Mikkelsen, and Trejo, but not the others.
Amen to that! HBO and FX especially.
I knew 7-8 by face, 5-6 by name. I think Michael Rapaport shouldn’t be on the list either.
Since I don’t watch cable TV my chance of recognizing the majority of those actors is almost zero.

Clancy Brown - costar of Buckaroo Banzai; does the voice for Mr. Krabs in SpongeBob
Jason Isaacs - Tavington in The Patriot, Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter, detective on Awake
Brad Dourif - Wormtongue in The Two Towers, shipboard serial killer on Star Trek: Voyager
Danny Trejo - gruff-but-lovable uncle in Spy Kids movies (Yes, I know he’s done other stuff, but I haven’t seen it)
Michael Rapaport - recurring role on My Name is Earl (ditto)
David Wenham - Faramir in LOTR movies
Stephen McHattie - Hollis in Watchmen
