In America, the prime sport for betting is (American) football, and the bookies have devised an ingenious system called the point spread to save themselves laying odds.

Rather than deciding on odds for a game, they simply decide how much the favored team ought to win by. So, if, say, the Dallas Cowboys are playing the Arizona Cardinals and are favored by three and a half- and you bet on the Cowboys- you only actually win if the Cowboys win by four or more.

I’m going to take a WAG and say SnakeSpirit frequently has multiple browser windows open to different fora on the boards and frequently forgets which forum is in which window. Possibly following links to a thread in another forum, gets in the notion to post a new thread, and forgets he isn’t in the forum he was originally in.

Or something like that.

Also, there are some blurred boundaries between some fora - IMHO and Cafe Society or GD, for example. Or MPSMS and the Pit. MPSMS frequently contains threads of mild-to-moderate whining and bitching by people. Maybe SS is having some issues with recognizing those boundaries.

For Munch - I guess that’s about as close as I’m able to come. I didn’t want to start a pit thread targeting CK, and MPSIMS seemed like the place for comments of a personal nature.

Yeah, I don’t always get what should be posted where, and judging by how many threads have been moved that were started by other people than me, I’m not the only one.
