I like this a lot. Nothin’ like a blues riff to get your blood moving.
Winchester Cathedral. Oh no! I think I love this.
o-bony-o-d’oh
That’s it! Thank you. My Saturday is now complete.
Since the clip is dated 1976, it technically counts: Edward Hill singing I Am Happy Because I Am Returning Home, a bizarre clip that has swept the Internet and is in some cases becoming the Soviet equivalent of the Rickroll.
I think you’ll find it’s a “Vo-de-o-do”.
With the unnecessary laugh track and the cheesy set, it looked like something out of the Muppet Show. Except for the lack of Muppets.
Years ago, I posted a cure for Debbie Boone.
I’m just having a BLAST with this thread. Thanks for starting it, Cicero, and thanks to everybody for their contributions.
Just watched this & the tears are still streaming down my face! Thanks for the laugh!
Listening to Hooked on a Feeling now. Prefer the David Hasselhoff version myself
Found another one - not in the class of these two, but still pretty cheesy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IDDGMMfMEQ
Kate Bush - Wuthering Heights And I even consider myself a Kate fan, but watching this overearnest pantomime is just squirm-inducing.
Amazingly, this Abba video wasn’t as cheesy as I imagined. All I remembered of it was the shot of the blonde singer’s face as the hands in the foreground play the piano. But the rest of the video is…well, pedestrian, but not really campy.
This is one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxoWto09Oyg Halfbreed, by Cher.
Here’s another: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUuG1Ge8MTU Indian Reservation, by Paul Revere and the Raiders.
It serves you right if you listen to either.
And, wasn’t Winchester Cathedral from the 60s?
I don’t think that I can be accused, fairly, of lording it over my friends, but I believe that this little offering may, just may, win me the jackpot.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBYV_7a0FQs That’s right: Muskrat Love.
Of course, it may have been retired as a contender because it’s an automatic gimmee, so, if I don’t win, I understand. Or, someone may yet pull out “I’ve Been to Paradise.”
Best wishes,
hh
:smack:
Does that mean I get a do-over? 1971, I checked and, well, …apologies in advance.
