That's a hell of a duet...

Man, I was cruising through YouTube and I discovered some combinations and duets that I never knew existed. Damn, but these guys can rock.

Jerry Lee Lewis, Ray Charles and Fats Domino. Singing and playing a couple of songs. Wow. And the amazing, super-talented guy running around just watching and not playing? Yeah, that’s Paul Shaffer.

Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles doing “Living For the City.”

Ray Charles and Ella Fitzgerald doing “Get Your Kicks on Route 66” at the Moulin Rouge.

Jerry Lee Lewis and Kid Rock doing the Rolling Stones “Honky Tonk Women.” Gets my “What the Hell?” vote.

If you like those pick up Jerry Lee Lewis’ recent album “Last Man Standing” - it’s duets with some young 'uns like Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Page, Ringo Star, Willie Nelson, Mick Jagger, Little Richard, etc. Good stuff.

Also found this: Ray Charles with Babs on backup doing “Look What They Done To My Song, Ma.”

(Incidentally, I found here where Ray just steals “Still Crazy After All These Years” from Paul Simon. Just up and walks off with the song. Not a duet, but damn it’s a good rendition.)
