Yeah, you heard me right. I’m through. I’m packing it up, and heading out.
For a week.
Leaving to go to the Jersey Shore on vacation with the rents, and looking forward to seven days of absolute nothing. Sun, sand, waves, it should be a blast.
But I’m also looking ahead to seven days of boredom, since I really don’t know the area well. (Neither does my family). Any suggestions on what to do from Dopers who live in the area, or at least have been there before, would be greatly appreciated. I’ll be in Avalon, if that helps.
Ooh. I need to buy sunscreen. Pasty white boy like myself won’t last for two minutes out there.
Well, nothing could be as boring as summer in Nebraska. Trust me.
Just keep your sunscreen on and positive attitude handy and you’ll have fun no matter what you do.
Miss you, though.
This is not quite true. When you have a two-year-old, and going to Nebraska means Grandma & Grandpa will do a lot of babysitting, summertime in Nebraska can mean lots of fun. I’ll be going there in a month and I am counting the days.
Of course, the fact that there are only four movie screens in town restricts our ability to get caught up on Hollywood’s offerings…
Thanks for the memories, Jester (and have a good one !)…
`Cause down the shore everything’s all right
You and your baby on a Saturday night
You know all my dreams come true
When I’m walking down the street with you
Sha la la la la la la
Sha la la la la la la la la
Sha la la la la la la
Sha la la la I’m in love with a Jersey girl
