THC found in Colorado water supply!

Run for your lives!

THC isn’t even soluble in water. Sounds like some private company was using a cheap drug test and someone decided to test some tap water to show a negative result. Unsurprisingly, the cheap test showed a positive result. If it turns out the drug tests have gotten someone fired, I hope that someone gets a good lawyer and sues.

But hey, no reason to wait for facts, let’s start a panic!

Colorado has had problems with water quality though. While they’re testing the water, maybe they’ll test it for whatever else might be in it. Could be educational.

Snopes is covering it.

So how much should we not drink to avoid getting high?

I saw a followup report that said that the amount of pot needed to pollute a water supply is virtually impossible to make this happen.

Unless they find some CBD-only company has been dumping the THC they recover and can’t use, the amounts in the water would have to be so small as to be laughable. Since there’s zero toxicity and you’re not getting high from these amounts, the warning is less necessary than warning people about the level of blood pressure medicine and birth control in their water (and yes, that stuff is present in the water you drink).

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking about when I said they should test the water to see what else is in there instead of the reefer madness silliness.

Who is going to protect the children?

CBI determines THC indications were a false positive.

FWIW there are lots of drugs in the water supply.

The threshold dosage of THC is about 2mg. So unless there is 1mg per liter or more, it shouldn’t matter.

And that is w/o the point of THC not being water soluble, etc.
