Water solubility of THC

Id like to know if THC is soluble in water or not and what exactly that means. In addition what is a safely consumable liquid that THC is not soluble in, but carcinogenic compounds and noxious gasses such as hydrogen cyanide, volatile phenols, and aldehydes are?

THC is not water soluble. If it were water soluble, then when you used a bong, all the THC would go into the water.

In other words, you wanna know what liquid you can use in a bong that’s not toxic, and that won’t soak up the “good stuff”–the THC–but will soak up the “bad stuff”?

Sorry, can’t help you here. We don’t give out advice on the best ways to utilize illegal drugs.

Maybe he’s planning on using the information for medicinal purposes.

THC is not soluble in water… that’s why water pipes work. It is soluble in alcohol and oils, so a hypothetical person who wished to filter out particles but keep the THC would be foolish to fill his water pipe with liquor (that’s not what “beer bong” means ;)) or butter.

Water might not be the best fluid for filtering (or might, I dunno), but it sure is cheap. A hypothetical person who filled his water pipe with expensive filtering chemicals might wish he had used water when the time comes to store his water pipe horizontally, transport it somewhere, or just dump out the bong juice when it gets old and nasty.

Ducky, I don’t think we can presume quite so much about this person’s motives. After all, is everyone who asks about the dangers of various opioids going to buy them on the streets, as opposed to from a pharmacy? Should my questions about apomorphine be removed because they might induce someone to, probably illegally, mix some up and try it?

I can’t think of a good reason you would need to know the answers to your questions unless you were planning to break the law. We do not allow threads that will help you break the law, so I’ll close this thread.
