  2. Anything involving Paris Hilton or Britney Spears, inclidung (especially) their personal lives and political views but not encompassing their images on porno sites. The scope of this would include any person whose fame doesn’t stem from brains or power, and whose personal lives do not include significant roles in politics. Thus, Alec Baldwin, Michael Moore, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, Al Franken, and Angelina Jolie are legitimate semi-political figures.

  3. Neocons’ & Ken Starr’s interest in whether Bill Clinton got his “cigar smoked”. Frankly, I don’t care who/what he screws beneath his oval office desk; I’m only interested in what a president signs on the desktop.

Intelligent design / creationism: The presidential election turned laughable/tragic when Wolfowitz asked Republican candidates for a show of hands for who believed in creationism. That’s pushing some “rat’s ass” stuff into the limelight.

  1. Paris Hilton and Britney Spears are (sadly) still in the news, shaving their heads or baring their boobies. Michael Moore’s latest film (“Capitalism: A Love Story”) premiered in 2009.

  2. OK, yeah, that one’s a decade old.

  3. The anti-healthcare astroturfing is happening NOW.

  4. Rap music, sadly, is as prevalent now as it was a decade ago. One would think that listeners would tire of bad rhymes, overly loud rythms, and brags about the performer’s schlong/income/violence/lexicon of 4-letter words.

  5. Fashion never dies… like zombies, vampires, and that big fungus thing in Michigan. :wink:

  6. Whackos pretending that global warming ain’t real… I see that in the news all the time. It’s very 2009. Sadly, I’m seeing it on letters-to-editors pages rather than the comics section.
