I hate, hate, hate it when teams with a slight advantage start to play not to lose. The Hawks shut down the aggression and end up giving up the tying goal, so we’re in overtime. I’m not so happy with officiating, but it’s been an exciting game, with a fair amount of back and forth.
Here come the Hawks.
Chicago wins in overtime but you would never know it. When Philadelphia scored their three goals the horn would sound for more than 30 seconds. When Chicago scored their three goals, the horn sounded perhaps five seconds. Yet when Chicago scored the winning goal to win the game and the series, dead silence.
With the NBC coverage, I had no idea Kane’s shot finished it until he cleared the center line celebrating. Worst playoff beard gets the winning goal. 49 years is a long time to wait.
Wow. That was a good finish to the series.

So glad Hossa got to be second to carry the cup. He’s had to answer more stupid questions during these playoffs (“how does it feel to always be the loser?”).

Great game. I got to parade my inflatable Cup around a bar full of Flyers fans.:D. Pronger and Hossa are both now 1-2 in the Finals. Who’s cursed now?
Wow. Now that was a pleasantly dramatic finish, wasn’t it. 
(Still sad about the Habs, though, if I’m honest.)
Third time was a charm. Well, good for him. He obviously learned not to shoot his mouth off like the last time.

I just hope that Chris Pronger was prevented from getting his hands on the game puck and throwing it in the garbage, and that he enjoyed watching the cup celebration from the bench and the locker room. Dick.

I still can’t believe that Philly really thought that they could ride Michael Leighton to a Cup. He was terrible again last night.
37 saves in 41 shots is terrible? I don’t know that Philly thought they could ride Leighton to a Cup, but it’s not like Brian Boucher’s a great alternative.
The officiating was absolutely horrible. Disgraceful. I know fans always complain about hockey refs was it was really, really bad, and I’m just thankful it didn’t imapct the OT goal.
With the NBC coverage, I had no idea the Flyers tied the game in the 3rd and had several scoring chances in OT… the only thing they omitted was actual footage of the announcers fellating the Blackhawks team…
