Last night I got home to find a postcard from Upstate NY. It’s a lovely photo showing a tree with mushrooms (chicken of the woods, I think) growing up the trunk.
I wish you luck in your attempts to find caterpillars. “Not for potions.”

@pjd The pudding is the central character in the Australian classic and eponymous childrens book. It’s been in print for over a century, is superbly illustrated and still funny to this day, if you ever happen to get your hands on a copy. The book is better than the animated movie (where John Cleese voiced the pudding)

Hey, I got a postcard from down under today! From @penultima_thule–a card in a neat envelope featuring mini-pictures of assorted Australian scenic attractions.
In an interesting kind of co-inky dink, I had just posted an image of one of those very attractions in the Giant Rock thread (the pinnacles of Western Australia)

You know folks, I may be aging, and likely slow on the uptake but I’m thunking something devious has been going on in the background of this PCE.
Arrived home today and the post has delivered another three postcards.
@Ulf_the_Unwashed showboating about their fitness regime walking across the Hudson,
@romansperson who has been exceptionally active in this exchange and provided images of ye olde Hillsborough, NC and
@RealityChuck doing some solid promotional work on a gothic novel which marks them out as a poster who could be very handy to know in very specific situations.
The generousity is exemplary.
