Caesars, butter tarts, tourtiere, Nanaimo bars … we’re pretty easy.
No poutine, though. That stuff is a heart attack on a plate, and is awful besides.

Tell them Spoons’ll vouch for you.

I’ve never done a postcard exchange, so sounds like the perfect time to try! PM sent.
OK folks, the countdown is running.
The nomination phase will conclude Tuesday 26th May 12:00 midnight AEST (Sydney, Australia). For any USA based doper aspiring to run the gauntlet and be last in for acceptances, that will be 7:00am Pacific Daylight time Monday 25th May or your local equivalent.
Happy to accept further participants, from any region.
It looks like there will be at least 8 mailing groups.
Thank you!
I think it was implicit in the OP, but to make it explicit, this is an international postcard exchange. Yes, USA Dopers predominate but most of the mailing groups will include an international Doper. There aren’t many furriners on The Dope, but they substantially enhance the decore and should be encouraged … IMHO of course.
However, if due to philosophical stance, isolationism, economy or other factors you do not want to be send postcards internationally, please PM me by the close. I can accommodate your wishes.
I have been summoned via PM (I rarely check my PMs, but there it was) and am happy to play once again!
Thank you. Sending PM with my IRL info in 3…2…1…
Countdown continues, second call.
Was planning/preparing the distribution phase which begins next Tuesday. And I noticed that there might be a very neat, symmetrical and equitable distribution if I could pick up just one more participant.
Could handle one from any location of course, but ideally from the US Pacific or Mountains regions. A new player, not somebody being helpful and doubling up. We have ample of those.
Would doubt many non-participants would be following this thread now, but if there was another Doper out there contemplating taking the plunge, there is precisely room for you. ![]()
Done and dusted.
Yay!!! We’re getting there…
I remember one fateful year when it took something like 6 weeks for my postcard to reach @BippityBoppityBoo.
Countdown continues, third and final call.
Nominations close Tuesday 26th May 12:00 midnight AEST (Sydney, Australia) or 7:00am Pacific Daylight time Monday 25th May
I had all the ducks lined up, symmetrically even … really, I did! But then RL intervened and the ducks are now slightly eschew.
It’s not an intractable problem, at all but if there happened to be any last minute nominations to join this display of international goodwill, I can still readily accommodate you.
Askew?
(Autoincorrect, I presume.)
Postcards have been obtained! Ready to go.
Perfect timing. Tomorrow we’re going to a scenic place on a scenic ship, followed by a scenic train. Lots of opportunities to buy postcards.
I’m all set, and looking forward to it.
Ooooh, I want that cool one on the right!
Just checking .. is it ok to put a few postcards in an envelope and send that,
or is that unethical ?
Fair squeeze from my perspective.
