The 25 Most Infuenital New Rock Artists, #21-25

I was listening to a new rock show on the radio tonight. (it’s called “The Ongoing History of New Rock” and is hosted by Alan Cross, the music director of the Edge 102.1 out of Toronto) The show is rerunning a series that was part of the Millennuim Project two years ago, on alternative rock’s all-time top 25 artists. (this is according to the host and critics, I assume)

I wanted to see what you thought of the bands and artists cchosen to be on the list. Since I don’t really want to bog y’all down with the entire list of 25 bands and artists, I’ll do a few at a time. Tonight’s part of the list:

  1. Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers
  2. Skinny Puppy (Vancouver band)
  3. Brian Eno
  4. Smashing Pumpkins
  5. Pearl Jam
