"The 4400" Marathon to Air Sunday on USA (NO SPOILERS)

Historical fact question: Richard was kidnapped in 1951. He was a captain in the Air Force, a pilot in Korea. Were black men allowed to be pilots in the Air Force back then? IIRC, in WWII, black men were only allowed to be cooks and such, and Korea was not much later than WWII. Did things change so much in 6-7 years?

ivy, dear, you should read up on the Tuskegee Airmen.

:smack:

You have watched more reruns of “MASH”.

But Truman did order the integration of the Armed Forces after World War II.

I’m intrigued by the rich 4400 guy…I forget his name. He seems to come off as, not evil…but very manipulative and trying to only be for himself. Here’s my theory on him:

(in a spoiler box, even though it’s just a guess)

His power is that he knows what they all have to do, but has some sort of stipulation in that he cannot tell anyone. So he is trying his best to get all the 4400 in one place to do their job. Remember, he said the baby was the key at the end of the last ep of last season.

bouv, that’s an interesting idea, but he seems a little bit too money-hungry for me to buy that theory. We’ll see!

Not to mention that his commune was to be the first of at least three such developments.

Jordan Collier is his name, btw.

My crazy thought after watching the new episode was that…

(also just a thought, no basis in this ‘spoiling’ anything, but just in case…)

He isn’t actually one of the 4400. He’s just very opportunistic & has convinced the world that he was among the abducted. What? I told you it was crazy.

I miss Peter Coyote. I kept imagining him speaking the lines of the new boss-lady and thinking how much better they would have been.

Poor Maia and her crush on ol’ Blue eyes. Kids can be so cruel.

What, is no one watching this? I taped the two episodes I missed while I was on vacation and watched them last night. There’s a new episode tonight. Hello? Hello? Anyone out there?

I’ve been watching it. The last couple episodes seem to be pretty slow-moving and borderline pointless. It’s as if they got a contract for their 9-episode second season, but only had enough story for four.

I loved the first season, and I still can’t wait for the rest of the episodes. But I definitely think the last couple weeks have been the weakest so far.

I’m waiting for the ripples.
