I gotta say, I think I preferred the usual setup where the previous year’s Best Actor presented the Best Actress award, and vice versa.
And where was George Carlin and Don Lafontaine in the ‘in memoriam’? I mean…I know George was more of just a comedian, but he was in several movies, and Don Lafontaine was THE movie trailer “voice over” guy.
No one will ever say “In a world where” like him. 
I can’t imagine what it must be like to be faced with Shirley or Sophia saying nice things about you, especially at Anne’s age… wow.
I really like this personalised format. Especially where, like with McClaine, it sounded like it was actual cred/advice from an older actress. However miss Vie en Rose sounds like she doesn’t understand a word of what she is saying.
